Anna Malу AI service wins a prize in Sikorsky Challenge Ukraine 2024

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has recently hosted the International Forum Sikorsky Challenge Ukraine, which was entitled Artificial Intelligence: Global Dialog. For two days, the participants discussed the latest AI trends, communicated with ChatGPT, and presented their ideas on AI applications in the modern world. The forum attendees included scientists, international experts, government officials, and business representatives.

At the All-Ukrainian AI Research Paper Competition, contestants presented their research projects and studies in various areas of AI application. Another key event was the AI startup competition involving 40 projects. Eventually, the finals featured 20 projects offering innovative solutions for the development of the Ukrainian economy.

After the international jury awarded their points, the IT-Enterprise team won third place in the Sikorsky Challenge Ukraine 2024 startup competition with its Anna Malу service. The project received a cash prize of $1300 and a certificate for the finals of Sikorsky Challenge Ukraine 2024.

Anna Maly is an AI-enabled service designed to analyze data flow and detect equipment anomalies by reading and interpreting information from machine indicators, components, assemblies, and other equipment. Anna Maly's main task is to digitalize production processes and identify potential issues in equipment operation at early stages.

Anna Maly reduces the risk of an accident, serving as an alarm system for abnormal situations. The risk of equipment downtime is reduced because Anna Maly issues alerts of any changes in equipment operation much earlier than a person can detect them. This means that the defect can be localized in advance with minimal costs: the respective component (e.g. a bearing) will be cleaned, covered, lubricated, or replaced. Therefore, the risk of equipment failure is also significantly reduced, as is the maintenance cost (up to 90% compared to scheduled preventive maintenance).

“We spent several years creating the development platform that allowed us to quickly create new quality AI products. To do so, we engaged our best specialists with extensive experience in working with AI algorithms, knowing the methodologies very well,” said Oleg Shcherbatenko, founder and CEO of IT-Enterprise. ”It is somewhat sad that we came up with Anna Maly only in 2022: it could have saved Chornobyl back in 1986,”  he added.

IT-Enterprise, a Ukrainian product company, has been driving the digitalization of leading companies in Ukraine's key industries for more than 35 years.

Among the company's clients are Interpipe, DTEK, Nibulon, Roshen, MHP, ASTARTA-Kyiv, Ukrnafta, Lekhim, Ukreximbank, Credit Agricole Bank, Ukrposhta, APK-Invest, Kovalska ICG, Kyivmiskbud, Come Back Alive Foundation, Netpeak Group, Delta Sport, Comfy, and others. Internationally, IT-Enterprise has worked with Ducab Group (UAE), Elsewedy Electric (Egypt), and PGA Electric (Romania).

The company's founder and CEO, Oleg Shcherbatenko, is a staunch advocate of Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 solutions.
