IT-Enterprise starts digitalization of PDM/PML processes at Romanian PGA Electric
Ukrainian product IT company IT-Enterprise (involving Clobbi, the international unit of the IT-Enterprise group) has launched a project to digitalize the production processes of the Romanian company PGA Electric, which manufactures cable products, equipment and materials for electrical installations.
As part of the cooperation, the Ukrainian specialists will implement a solution for product data management and product lifecycle management solution: PDM/PML. This will help improve the efficiency of PGA Electric's processes and business performance in general.
The PDM/PML solution ensures effective product data management at all stages (from design to production). It allows users to track each product at all stages of its life cycle, including the creation of design documentation and product development.
Since the PDM/PML strategy is implemented within the ERP system, it becomes possible to estimate the cost of new product variants and optimal equipment utilization even before the production development stage.
According to IT-Enterprise, its previous experience in implementing PDM/PML solutions in manufacturing companies shows that these digital tools help to reduce the time-to-market by 20-50%, control cost effectiveness, calculate the actual cost of cable and wire products in real-time, and more.
“Ukrainian companies have significant competence in industrial automation, and our team has many years of experience in this field. We continue developing our Ukrainian partnerships and are looking to expand our connections abroad,” said Oleg Shcherbatenko, CEO of IT-Enterprise.
PGA Electric (Baia Mare, Romania) specializes in making cable products, equipment and supporting materials for more than 3 thousand customers. Founded in 2000, the company is developing dynamically, expanding its product range, logistics, and production facilities. Its annual turnover is over EUR 15 million.
IT-Enterprise, a Ukrainian product company, has been driving the digital transformation of the Ukrainian industry for over 35 years. The company's founder and CEO Oleg Shcherbatenko is a staunch advocate of Industry 4.0 and 5.0 technologies and methods. Besides operating in Eastern Europe, the company has expanded to the MENA region, where it implements solutions for the region's largest manufacturers of cable and wire products: Ducab Group and Elsewedy Electric.
