Technical requirements
For the IT-Enterprise system operation, you need a database server, one or more application servers, and client workstations.
The database server is the most powerful IT-Enterprise server with the largest amount of RAM and high-performance and fault-tolerant disk subsystem. It requires 2 to 4 multi-core processors, a maximum amount of RAM, disk drives, or storage array.
Application servers execute all calculations. The server of this type should have a RAM of 6 to 12 GB and a high-performance disk subsystem. It is recommended to use a RAID array or a debugged backup system for the entire application server. To work effectively, it's enough to use 2 server multi-core processors of modern architecture with a core frequency of 2.0 GHz. IT-Enterprise servers must execute only the software code of the IT-Enterprise system and the corresponding components of the operating system. Any additional software on the server leads to a decrease in the speed of customer service.
Client workstations can be any modern device - a personal computer, a laptop, an netbook compatible with Microsoft Windows, thin workstations, iPad, iPhone, Windows and Android tablets, smartphones, and any other devices, which function as a client for the terminals or virtual desktops.
Workstations requirements
CPU 2.5 GHz and above, RAM - 2 GB and above; monitor with a resolution of no lower than 1280*1024 and above, the color of 16 or 32 bits. Supported OS: Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows 2003R2 / 2008R2 / 20012. Minimum requirements for working in client mode: Celeron 1.0GHz, 512MB RAM, Windows XP SP3.
Requirements for database servers and applications
It is recommended to use server hardware that meets the following requirements: multi-core processors with support for 64-bit commands, RAM with parity control and error correction; hardware RAID controller; drives SAS 15k rpm; network cards with a speed of 1GB / s and above.
Network requirements
Application servers and databases must be within the same local area network. It is recommended to connect on channel 1 Gb/s. The requirement for a channel between the client workstation and the application server is any connection that provides TCP interoperability.
From the client's side 128 Kb/s is recommended, the connection is recommended at a speed of 512 Kb/s and above (minimum - 56kb/s). From the side of the application server for simultaneous operation of up to 25 clients, a channel with a bandwidth of 1 Mb/s is required.
